Now that warmer weather has arrived, it might be time to pack up the family and head for that long-awaited vacation! Not to mention, few things strengthen a family’s bond than “roughing it” in the great outdoors. Also, the fresh air, endless outdoors activities, and cooking by campfire is enough adventure to excite even the most hesitant vacationer. So, get pitching those tents people! A super-fun camping trip can help you to expend far less energy worrying about balancing your budget, and help you focus more energy on what a vacation is really all about—enjoying some carefree time with your family!

From plastic pails and shovels, portable CD players, and lawn chairs, to quality warm-weather clothing, hats, and sunglasses, you can save a ton of money avoiding paying retail prices by shopping at discount stores, consignment shops, and Goodwill this Spring and Summer. Also, depending on the location and how strategically you time your visit, you stand to save significantly for nearly any item you can think of. Closeout sales, 2-for-1 specials, and liquidation discounts can save you even more money!
Keep cool & STAY cool the entire outdoor season – buy beverages in bulk!
Whatever cold refreshments you and family prefer to cool off with this outdoor season — whether its sports drinks, juices, iced tea, or just good old bottled water, stocking up stands to save you BIG dollars. Items sold in bulk at food warehouses, for example, are often far less expensive when purchased in bulk packaging than if you bought the same exact item individually at your neighborhood grocery store. And when the weather really starts heating up along with your family’s thirst, buying in volume ensures plenty of backup refreshment to last you from now right through the Summer!
